The Small Screen

After critical success in for the film franchise, Marvel Studios ventured into the world of the small screen: TV. Since ABC is owned by Disney, just like Marvel, the entertainment giant decided the their two companies should work together. The first project was Agents of Shield, a promising new show with a lot of potential. Potential that was wasted for most of the show.

Anyway, AoS started off with a boom, showing us that Coulsen is alive, and has not been killed by Loki, and giving us a cool look on the other side of the spectrum. From the mysterious, cool Agent Ward, to the nerdy Fitz-Simmons duo, there was a lot to offer. I personally enjoyed the first eight episodes or so, and then things started to get dry and cliché. I eventually stopped watching for a couple of weeks, until the last episodes of season one dragged me back in.

Now, with season one done and over, viewers are hyped up for season two, which will hopefully bring us back in. But, with AoS on break, news circled around of Marvel, ABC Studios, and Netflix working together to make four- yes, four- new shows that will be streamed on Netflix starting in 2015. These four new shows will show us yet another side of the MCU by giving us street-level heroes. Which ones? Well, for starters, we get blind lawyer/ vigilante Daredevil, then Jessica Jones, and the Heroes for Hire.

-Wait, Luke, didn't you say there were four new shows?

Yes. Yes I did. After we get to see those four heroes by themselves, we eventually get to the Defenders. Sadly, we aren't going to see Dr. Strange and the Hulk team up with our street heroes, but we will see the super cool crime fighters team up for a very promising team up show.

I think I'm forgetting something... oh yeah! Haley Atwell will reprise her role as Peggy Carter for her own show, Agent Carter, premiering on ABC this fall. Joining her is Dominic Cooper, who portrays Howard Stark, father of Iron Man. The show is set after Captain America "dies" in the plane crash, and features Carter balancing her routine office work she does while working with Strategic Science Reserve, and secretly working on missions with Howard Stark.

Well, so far, this is all we got for the Small Screen. After we get some more info, I'll make a timeline showing the shows, just like I did with the movies.
